Social Media Cover Banner Design

I was contacted by Natasha Sampa Mulenga because she needed a Cover Banner for her blog page and social media pages that would give her pages some character and an identity that was memorable.

For the brief she asked for an illustrative piece that would explore the idea of a Soulful Storm, the inner workings of her mind and the Zambian heritage that she so proudly stands for. I explored this through the idea of Afro hair representing soul and storm clouds at the same time. The lightning then showing how dangerous or potent some thoughts or concepts can be.

Then I started to explore African patterns to bring the element of Zambian heritage in to the piece.

The title of her blog is called @ASoulfulStorm and the blog enables for a deep dive in to Natasha’s interests and concerns in life, with a thought provoking, critical yet entertaining and sarcastic take on current day events and the entertainment industry.
